ING Bank, Almere Netherlands

ING bank Almere has commissioned Bentum Cleaning to recondition and protect the frames and panels. The frames and panels were first thoroughly cleaned with Chemona Cleaner. After cleaning, durable protection was created with the product 2C Perma Coat Matt. As a result, the natural appearance of the substrate was preserved and the outer facade will be easier to maintain with environmentally friendly cleaning in the future.

Trompe l’oeil wall painting, Utrecht Netherlands

The client asked the contractor De Strakke Hand to make a trompe l’oeil painting on an outer facade. After the painting was completed, De Strakke Hand applied the water-based coating Stone Coat over the wall painting as a transparent and invisible protection system.

Rotterdam World Gateway, Maasvlakte Netherlands

The globe on the Maasvlakte was cleaned by Ale Bok and then protected with to make it easier to remove the pollution in the future. The object was affected by rust spots and was environmental dirt. After cleaning with Chemona Cleaner, the globe was in a restored condition to protect with the transparent 2-component coating, 2C Perma Coat Gloss.

Research into anti-bacterial properties of product Stone Coat

In recent months, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been increasingly asked how our products hold up as an anti-bacterial application on surfaces. We have mainly received these questions from sectors such as public transport, hospitals, residential care centers and school complexes.

After our research in 2012 with Nano-Next, a TNO working group on the safety of nanoparticles, ISS Facility Services Netherlands applied the product Stone Coat in 2014 in all public toilet areas and patient bathrooms in Nij Smellinghe Hospital, in Drachten. We have monitored this project for years on the developments regarding the product in the Nij Smellinghe hospital.

Our New York office works closely with various hospitals and the Stone Coat product is also used there in the bathrooms and toilet areas of various hospitals.

Last March, we generated very successful (%99 reduction in Staph bacteria growth) results for Stonecoat applied to grout. We await testing results on the same substrate for COVID-19.
