A garage floor is more than just a functional surface. Whether it is a private garage, a parking garage or a technical room: the floor contributes to the appearance, safety and daily ease of use of the space. Untreated concrete often looks messy, is sensitive to dust formation and absorbs moisture, dirt and oil. This makes cleaning difficult, increases wear and reduces the lifespan of the floor.
That is why the choice was made in this project to professionally finish the floor with 2C Colour Coat, a robust, wear-resistant coating that can be applied in one layer. The desired colour was chosen from the entire RAL spectrum, matching the environment and use of the space. The result: a representative, safe and low-maintenance floor that will last for years.
Purpose of the treatment
The treatment was aimed at achieving multiple goals at once:
- Visually improving the bare concrete floor with an even, smooth finish
- Making the surface dust-free, waterproof and dirt-repellent
- Making the floor resistant to intensive use, tire marks and spills
- Giving the garage a professional and neat appearance
- Reducing the maintenance frequency and extending the lifespan
- Improving safety through optional anti-slip and color contrasts

Colour choice and functional application
Choosing a RAL colour is more than an aesthetic decision. Colours can be used to:
- Mark work or walking paths
- Distinct parking spaces
- Visually separate zones or functions
- Influence light reflection (for example with light colours for dark spaces)
- Extend a brand or interior style to the floor
Technology and implementation
The existing floor was first intensively cleaned and mechanically prepared. All loose parts, dust and grease were removed. The 2C Colour Coat was then applied in one even layer with a roller or spray technique. Due to the fast processing, the space can be used again after a short time, ideal for users who cannot afford long-term downtime.
Product properties. Why 2C Colour Coat?
- Two-component formula: superior adhesion and wear resistance
- Dust-proof: prevents fine dust and cement particles from blowing up
- Liquid-proof: resistant to water, oil, fuels and cleaning agents
- Wear and scratch-resistant: suitable for rolling traffic, vehicles and heavy loads
- Easy to clean: water and dirt-repellent surface
- Easy to repair: damage can be repaired locally without colour difference
- Anti-slip possible: by adding granules for extra safety
Maintenance and ease of use
A treated floor provides structural benefits in daily use:
- Less trouble with tyre marks or oil stains
- No crumbling of concrete or loose dust
- Cleaning is easy with a damp cloth or scrubbing machine
- No aggressive cleaning agents required – good for the environment and the material
Circular and future-oriented maintenance
Because the coating is applied directly to existing concrete floors, no demolition or replacement is necessary. This:
- Saves raw materials
- Reduces waste
- Lowers CO₂ emissions
- Connects to circular ambitions of building owners or property managers
In the long term, this means cost savings, environmental benefits and less disruption to daily use.
